To cancel or change an existing appointment in Inspire, simply follow the steps below. 


1. Go to the Calendar and find the appointment you would like to change or cancel. Click the appointment. 




2. After clicking the appointment, you'll see appointment details, as well as options to:


(1) change to a different appointment slot.


or


(2) indicate a missed appointment, message the student, add an advising note, or download the event. 



After making any desired changes, scroll to the bottom of the screen. Click Cancel to avoid making any changes. Click Delete to cancel the appointment. Click Update to update any changes you made to the appointment. 



When cancelling an appointment (after clicking Delete), a message will pop up with details of the cancellation. Users can enter a unique message to the student about the cancellation, if desired. When ready to cancel the appointment, click Confirm.



Upon cancelling or changing the appointment, both the student and user will receive an email notification with the cancellation details. Note that scheduled and cancelled appointments will overlay your existing available appointment slot.
