Inspire surfaces the academic background for your students, enabling you to see details about current and past courses, to understand trends and signals in each student's academic progress. Important to note is that while Inspire provides an at-a-glance view of academic progress, DegreeWorks should be the consulted authority on a student's academic progress.
Start by navigating to a student's profile and selecting Course History. Once in the Course History tab, you’ll see various quick action options at the top of the screen, including:
1) an option to message current instructors of the student
2) an option to download the course history
1. The Course Summary is available at the top of the page and provides you with an overview of course progress. Summary data includes:
• Cumulative GPA
• Total Credits Earned
• Transfer Credits
• Course Retakes
• Course Withdrawals
2. The Courses List includes collapsible tables for in-progress and completed coursework.
For In-Progress Courses, each row includes the course number, name, credits, Canvas activity (grade/avg, unique login days/avg), term, modality, and instructor.
3. Filter options are available on the left navigation and enable you to narrow results by modality, credits, or course status.
For past courses or transfer courses, each row includes the course number, name, credits, final grade, unique Canvas login days/avg, term, modality, and instructor.
